About Us

The only permanent dance studio in Cardiff, Edwards Dance Studio was established over 50 years ago by Christine & Frank Edwards and was born out of a passion for dance, and a desire to share that passion.

Over the years, Christine, Frank & their daughter Charlotte have taught hundreds of people of all ages how to dance. Charlotte was 2 years old when she did her first IDTA Amateur examination! They have each developed their craft & completed numerous awards through the IDTA, with Frank becoming an examiner of the IDTA. 

Charlotte qualified as a teacher at the age of 20 and is now lead teacher at the studio, she continues to study and is now a Ballroom Fellow of the IDTA.

The studio provides a spacious dance area and has a wooden sprung floor. We are located just off Merthyr Road in Whitchurch & are easy to find. 

We have a fresh air system in the studio which provides a cool atmosphere to dance in, even in really hot temperatures.

The studio is a welcoming & inclusive space, open 7 days a week.
