Edwards Dance Studio has been offering Public Dance Classes for over 50 years. We teach a variety of styles and everyone is welcome!
Established in 1971, our dance studio in the heart of Whitchurch village, Cardiff, offers a vibrant variety of dance classes for a range of ages from adults to tots. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to learn some dance skills for your big day. Then Edwards Dance Studio can help you with private wedding lessons where we can tailor steps to suit you!
Dance the Night Away:
- Ballroom & Latin: Master the graceful waltz or ignite the dance floor with a fiery cha-cha. Edwards Dance Studio offers classes for all levels in both ballroom and Latin styles.
- Line Dance: Beginner to Intermediate our Cardiff based Line Dance Class are fun and a perfect way to stay in shape.
- Argentine Tango: Immerse yourself in the passionate world of Argentine tango. Learn the captivating steps, embrace, and connection that define this dance form.

Children’s Dance Classes
Children have a tremendous amount of energy which can be successfully channelled into dance. At Edwards Dance Studio, we aim to balance the natural exuberance of our young performers with the control & focus that dancing requires.
We specialise in teaching Ballroom & Latin to ages 3 and upwards.
We schedule our children’s dance lessons so that we can maintain small class sizes and limit the length of our sessions to one hour.
Our portfolio of certificates attests to a proven track record of excellence in supporting children’s progress from absolute beginner to confident ballroom dancer.
Children’s Dance Awards
Charlotte Edwards, our lead instructor, is DBS checked and has a lifetime of experience in nurturing talent in a supportive atmosphere. Charlotte qualified as a Ballroom Fellow of the IDTA in 2022.
Our young dancers are introduced to world of dancing through the popular Rosette & Stardance syllabus.
“Rosette Awards are a series of simple, fun set routines designed for children aged between 3 and 8 years old.
Stardance Awards are another series of set routines designed for children aged between 8 and 13 years old.
